FAQs

Where are we - Getting there, Parking & Access

The location is in the name! We're located at Grey Lynn Park, Dryden Street, Grey Lynn. The surrounding streets are residential and parking can be tight, so for a stress free day we suggest you make your way to the festival via public transport, ride share, by bike or on foot. Parking is available in surrounding streets on a first come first served basis.

What does Zero Waste mean?

We're passionate about our future, and live in an extraordinary city with finite resources. At Grey Lynn Park Festival we require all stallholders and supply holders to provide zero waste packaging options and we work with the great team from Clean Event, a specialised waste management company to make sure we are running an environmentally sustainable event. Make sure to have a chat to our bin fairies if you're unsure about which bin to use!

What times does festival start and finish?

The festival kicks off from 9.30am on Saturday 18 November 2023 with market stalls and food. The festival welcome is on the main stage with Te Aka Pukaea Kapa Haka Group from Newton Central Primary School at 10am, with the last act finishing up around 6pm.

Are food and drinks available?

Yes they are! Come hungry, there is a range of market food stalls for every appetite.

Do I need to bring cash?

Yes. However, there is an ATM at the festival, and majority of our stallholders have EFTPOS facilities but not all, so we suggest bringing some cash on the day to make sure you don’t miss out on any essential Christmas purchases!

What can/can’t I bring?

We're a zero waste festival in a popular community park. We recommend bringing your own refillable water bottle, reusable coffee cup and reusable shopping bags to make the most of the day. We ask that you don't bring any glass to the festival.
